Black Forest Cake

A very ambitious version of black forest cake for the Holiday celebration.

Layered Chocolate cakes filled with vanilla whipped cream, Kirsch cherries, chocolate ganache. Frosted with chocolate vanilla cream, and tempered chocolate. Decorated with gilded berries and figs. (Brushed with edible gold dust).

This post serves as an inspiration for cake styling. I really love the festive look of this cake! Perfect for celebration!

Not sharing recipe as the flavor turned out too sweet for my taste, not ideal. Mainly due to the fact that I used storebought Kirsch Cherries from France. Its syrup was toooooo sweet. Next time I hope to make my own Kirsch brandied cherries, skip chocolate ganache filling, and also try a simpler decoration~
